Sedation

At Central Periodontics & Dental Implants, we offer patients who are nervous or have a phobia; the option of sedation for their periodontal treatment. Our standard procedure for pain management is to use a local anesthetic injection to ensure the area we are treating is completely numb.

However, if you are worried about pain during the procedure, you can choose to be sedated. Sedation helps ensure the treatment is comfortable, and any potential pain during surgery is mitigated. We use an experienced anaesthetist and the sedation is provided in a licensed medical facility. A portion of the fee incurred for this service is claimable from Medicare and your health fund.
